Anyone know what these are on the under side of an Ash leaf in Bedfordshire (UK) today? Some kind of fungus? @norwichbirder.bsky.social

A set of very small yellow, orange and black dots on the underside of an Ash leaf, possibly the fruiting bodies on some sort of fungus.

Any time I see a new jumping spider it's a very good day, and when it's as good looking as this Phlegra fasciata it's an extra bonus. One of the many special species found on the shingle of Dungeness, and protected by the @rspb.bsky.social#BugSky#Invertebrates#UKWildlife#Spider

A female, or possibly a sub-adult male, Phlegra fasciata jumping spider on a cluttered background. A nationally rare species in the UK, but common on the shingle habitats of Dungeness.

They are indeed, sorry, I should have said that as you say. The perils of posting in haste.
