I do agree that the whole lurch to the left thing is overplayed, but the reality is Lab lost seats consistently from 2010-2019 (except 2017 which I view as a rerun of the Brexit ref). I do feel bad for Miliband in many ways, but he was part of that problem. He was just not the leader they needed.

Well..... Lab lost seats in 2015 to the SNP. They won more Tory seats than the Tories won Labour seats. I can't see a 2015 scenario where any Labour leader did better except a radical counterfactual situation where they went full anti-Austerity and somehow did Corbynism-before-Corbyn.
