It is. This edition to cut costs CGL pay their freelancers little, so most of the current contributors taking on the job are just there so they can get their personal gametable fanfic canonized, which is why so much of the current writing seems fueled by pure spite and hatred of prior editions.
It's a captivating mix of stuff they got right and stuff they got wrong. XD But altogether it's charming and fun. I have a fondness for 3e and 4e as I got into Shadowrun as 3e was winding down and 4e was winding up.
-and cemented 4e as a Post Cyberpunk setting. 5e was a bunch of people not liking a lot of the changes 4e did and tried dragging a lot of things back to 3e's tone. 6e is a garbage fire. Dx
Well I was talking about the tabletop. XD Shadowrun as a classic cyberpunk setting was 2e and 3e. 4e was an overhaul of the setting to account for social changes and technological improvements. (They predicted smartphones and their ubiquity a few years before the iPhone was released.)-
Still one of my favorite settings. Though 5e was when things started going downhill in terms of writing and 6e has been an incredibly very negative experience.
Yeah, a lot of SR's lore be like that. XD They even kinda sorta called Brexit.(And how it galvanized the EU and nearly saved it. Sadly OOC problem happened that killed it.)
Adorable! <3
Heya Sug. Hope your okay. :(
