Writers hold up dark topics to expose them, wrestle with them, and to explore their own lived trauma, and to discuss the world around us. The idea that you can tell a creator is a bad person because of content is the stuff of book bans, not insight.

And as I regularly tell everybody, horror writers are some of the NICEST people I ever meet.
