A large chunk of the house and senate not crowing 24/7 about it, but I think in parts it's because anytime they do they get what I mentioned or even worse, a political piece on how 60% of America doesn't believe it's happening. Not having an all in Dem media group like fox, etc. for Rep is killer.

Oh with the tweet and blurb part I meant when the Dems do try to provide info. Biden going to various places to celebrate new plants still gets mediocre at best coverage, buttigieg mentioning it at every appearance gets dismissed because of course Dems actually do good work etc. doesn't excuse 1/

When the Voting Rights Act became law, the DOJ sent letters to every county registrar in the South, informing them of their duties under the law and the consequences for breaking it. I’d like to see the DOJ send a note about these prosecutions to every election clerk in America. Put them on notice.

Vapidly bad-mouthing federal disaster response based on nothing but vibes is in fact exactly what right wing extremists want us to be doing, and you’re a fucking idiot if you fall for it.

Dems definitely should have pushed it more and more often but when even brand new industry being built in areas that were dying got maybe a tweet and a blurb on like page A20 of the post I honestly am not sure how much it would have made a difference in forcing that type of media interest. 2/2

Somewhat agree, but they did do a decent rollout news wise when it passed/after. Republicans called it lies, some biased think tank "experts" announced the projections were guesses, and so in the end only science groups and those interested in it actually wrote pieces, with most media ignoring it.1/

Short guide: you have to vote and you have to vote straight-ticket Dem. "But what about" sure go ahead, look up the Republican candidate for state legislature or state executive office. Guaranteed to be some weird fascist. However bad you might think the Dem is, their opponent is far, far worse.

Senator tells Native American candidate to go back to where she came from, storms out of public event
When asked if discrimination existed in Idaho, conservative Sen. Dan Foreman said no.

In a statement released Wednesday, Democratic candidate for House Seat A and member of the Nez Perce tribe Trish Carter-Goodheart said she pushed back on that idea when it was her turn to speak, pointing to her own experience and the history of white supremacy groups in Northern Idaho.

“[J]ust because someone hasn’t personally experienced discrimination, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Racism and discrimination are real issues here in Idaho, as anyone familiar with our state’s history knows,” the statement read. “I highlighted our weak hate crime laws and mentioned the presence of the Aryan Nations in northern Idaho as undeniable evidence of this reality.”
Foreman stood up and angrily interjected, using an expletive to criticize what he cast as the liberal bent of the response, according to the release and people present at the forum.

Carter-Goodheart said he then told her she should go back to where she came from, and heatedly stormed off. One event organizer and two other panelists confirmed Carter-Goodheart’s account, adding Foreman appeared very agitated.
Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.

Not at first, but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if after they ran out of brown people (which ugh for having to put it that way) they would swing to those darn socialists since these hate movements always need a target.
