Every recent residential high-rise in this city has been a money loser for the developers, so it will probably be a decade before anyone tries again.

I understand the Oakland market is distinct from SF but I’m kinda surprised that highrises would more easily pencil in Jersey City—did they mostly come online in the height of covid or something?
