Alien Resurrection, for example, is a DISASTER. But it's such a fun disaster, and just an interesting movie to watch on like a technical level because Whedon's script is at literal war with Jeunet's direction. It's almost as bad as the Alien 3 drama....I love this stupid franchise

My favorite Alien fact is that David Fincher hated the process of making Alien 3 so much he refused to have anything to do with it, which is why there is an "Assembly Cut" but not a directors cut, and its a bit more coherent than the theatrical and fixes at least one major plot hole

yeah it led to SUCH an ODD TONE. god i still love it, though. and the end made me cry for a whole day lol
