You will not get better health care if we deport millions of people. You will not have more affordable housing if we deport millions of people. You will not get cheaper childcare if we deport millions of people. Ethnic cleansing is not a policy; it’s a series of lies.

But I think it says so much that JD Vance was like “my housing plan, my health care plan, my child care plan? The same plan: massive wide scale ethnic cleansing.” And we DON’T have a strong norm against that.

Oh. Judge Chutkan really unsealed an important thing, huh. I wonder if someone will do an audiobook-style reading like they did they indictments before. That was helpful.

Can you explain this in little words? Is the idea that with UBI, people could just go to school for a real education instead of job training, because they wouldn't starve if they studied the humanities or something?

Today I am thinking about how my piano teacher said her professor in college would smack her hands with a ruler if she made mistake. What an unhealthy culture has to exist for an adult to hit another adult and call it teaching.

The popular translation of "The Science of Learning" into classroom practice is rooted primarily in the value of efficiency, and there are a GREAT many values around which to arrange formal education, many of which are by their nature greatly inefficient (character development, for example).
