Chiang's definition of art: “something that results from making a lot of choices.” That would make almost any endeavor, by any organism with a brain, a work of art. I prefer the Cambridge definition of art: “the making of objects, images, music, etc. that are beautiful or that express feelings.”

Chiang's definition doesn't work well for 'art' but works well for 'endeavor'. If art is a series of choices, then writing AI, and asking AI to do something specific, and correcting AI's missteps, can all be some of those choices. AI is just another tool.
