As part of a podcast I’m doing I’ve gone back to a book I read at 12 years old and sorta forgot about (the cover here is new for the modern YA market) and it’s shocked me how much I write like it and how it informed my ideas of what contemporary sf should be.

So reading that would be like visiting baby Jim? I love to hear about books people read wen younger; you can see where certain aspects of their writing came from. (ask me, someone who read S King at 11 and Little House on the Prairie even younger, how I know that!)
