I feel woefully under qualified to comment on the Middle East so I'm just going to check out of bullshitting about it. This whole situation sucks and our policy seems mired in an awful time warp, but perhaps the only choices are bad and worse.

We've seen this movie before with an ineffectual Iranian attack, so the only real question is how Israel will respond.
