Literally anything Nintendo pumps will sell, mostly due to name recognition. Nintendo has rooms for 10k commercial flops because they don't spend hundreds of millions on singular blockbuster games. The only one that's remotely near competing is the Steam Deck, but that's it's own thing.

In your honest opinion, why is only one of these a massive, runaway, financial success?

$300 for a Switch at launch, and that's pretty okay (Setting aside the other stuff they milk you dry over, like joycons and SD cards). It hasn't inflated the price like other consoles, and the Wii and such were the same exact price despite inflation making those worth more.
