The entire entertainment industry is built on exploitation. Everything you watch, read, listen to is complicit. It’s good to be aware of the specific actions of specific people but I do not want to be the person who tells you what the line is, because I just don’t know.
Also, once again: The perceived morality of the media one consumes is not and never has been a proxy for the morality of the person consuming it. That people have been convinced otherwise is one of the most evil things capitalism has done in the 21st century.
reminds me of how Mulholland Drive is clearly about "the casting couch" in a way that wants to express female subjectivity, is great, and David Lynch is clearly a very horny, entitled man. + yeah like every book and film. the images that hold truth are produced by real (ie flawed) ppl. that's life.
