as promised, i made a regex cheat sheet for creating feeds with skyfeed.app#regex#tutorial#feedcreation#skyfeed

RegEx for Bsky: feed creation with skyfeed.app: this is a very simple cheat sheet for personal feed creation with a basic RegEx breakdown. this is not the "true" RegEx due to limitations of skyfeed, but it lists the most common tokens i've found usefulduring feed creation. why not just use other feeds? everyone has different needs and preferences. i used personal feeds to consolidateall the topics i like into the system that makes sense to me. this is also how you can filter out topics you're not interested in and remove triggers.
example 1: worldbuild. (with a single dot at the end) single dot matches any character perfect to use for words that can come in plural. matches worldbuilding, worldbuilder. won't match worldbuilt. example 2: can|cat|banana (with pipes between the words). a pipe character separates phases and words in your query. it serves as a shorthand for OR logic. matches can, cat, banana. doesn't match anything else not listed.
example 3: emon$ (with dollar sign at the end) dollar sign matches end of the phrase or word. if your word changes meaning with extra letters, use this! matches demon, lemon. doesn't match demonic, lemonade. example 4: ^all (with caret in front). a caret marks start of a phrase or word. great for short words that may turn into endings of others. matches allistic, allegation. doesn't match calls, ballerina.
example 5: hello+ (with plus sign at the end) plus sign matches previous character unlimited amount of times. matches: hello, helloooo. doesn't match: hell. removing words and terms: to remove certain words or terms, you will want to do a reverse search. to do that you add a new regex block and tick the invert checkbox below it.
