But sometimes, reality is that REALLY good candidates are right there in front of you. Maybe not every "requirement" is a hard one. Maybe you should read my resume instead of letting AI do it. Maybe we can value experiences instead of current employment status.

It's quite bleak, there's really not a silver lining here. It's hard to see *anything* on the job front getting better in 2024. How long can folks hold out? How fucked am I personally? There's a lot of people surely asking these same questions, worrying, each passing day

The companies I once had strong ties to are now considerably weaker. As folks feel out new jobs, those connections will broaden to new companies, but not everyone has found a fit, and this takes time to settle. My guess is that this probably happened in your network too.

Here's the truth: I don't suck. I have the professional track record and references to back this up. As the economy tanked, "recovered," and may very well be tanking again, my network became pretty fragmented as a lot of very talented folks were laid off through no fault of their own.

I know I use this app to mainly shout into the sky, so here it is again: ya boi needs a job so bad. 6 months, ~600 quality applications, a decent number of finals, no job. I feel so untalented, so incredibly under valued, and more than anything, just worthless.

I'm screaming into the void but I'm so tired of looking for a job. Big worthlessness vibes
