Twitter/X's Block feature will change very soon. Instead of hiding everything, blocking will prevent the account from engaging with content, but they'll still be able to see it. This was previously confirmed last month.

And yet another wave of people will be driven away from the platform & Elon will be like, "Why is everyone leaving?"

My hope is that the combination of both the App Store/Google Play store requirements with the many international laws against not having a functional block button will stop this change in its tracks. However, Brazil already tried banning twitter and they've already backtracked, so who knows.

I'm still trying to figure out how they think this is a good decision. Speaking for myself as an abuse survivor, there's a reason people are blocked. They should NOT have access to us at all.

I'm impressed that Elon thinks that is an improvement—wild times.

not a great idea - I mean what purpose does it serve, other than seeing what your saying about the person that was blocked. Most will have alt accounts anyway and just view from them. They just don't get to spread hate on your main account.
