Sometimes a simplistic UI design ends up doing more harm than good. When it comes to knowing what/where things can be interacted/touched/clicked, you have to know what can/can't. My mom can't tell what if everything is flat and not skewmorphic. I blame Microsoft for that first and Alphabet & Apple.

A button should look like a button that you can press if it were to exist IRL, not be some flat panel with a semi-gloss finish that's flush with the UI surrounding it like an art deco. Steve Jobs was right, if the UI looks good, you'll want to lick it. youtu.be/pmz30G9TVQw?...
