Would have been way easier to go, "let's conscience vote this one" and be done with it. The vote against was always going to win but they don't have to bin a politician voting with personal conviction (and almost certainly with her constituents in mind).

All the people baying for blood are the ones which sacrificed their ideals for the front bench, probably and/or allegedly.
