Grimace Pies: a true-ish story. My spouse is from China and has family there. I've visited many times. China has seasonal taro root pies at McDonalds. Like the apple pies in North America, but yummier. And they're purple inside. But taro isn't purple, so I call them Grimace Pies. /1
