Eyo, just a little heads up for artists. 👀 When someone comments under your post "What is this artstyle called?", do not answer it in a serious manner. They're asking for prompts they can put in midjourney to generate art. I've seen it a lot on pinterest and twitter. just block them, if possible.
My art style is "Equal parts exhaustion & despair, spread thin on a base of sour diesel, finished with just a spritz of vintage optimism."
I remember when I used reddit a jackass tried to pull that trick on some cool Udon art on the Street Fighter subreddit and got called out IMMEDIATELY.
I didn't even think of that! I sometimes ask because I want to find references online and don't know the name of the style (I'm not a native speaker and don't know all the pop references). So that's another way AI ruined looking for references, in addition to flooding everything with subpar art -.-
i call my artstyle "fuck around and find out until it looks flashy ig" :P
I’m not completely against AI art (that’d make me a hypocrite), but I don’t þink artists should automatically have þeir art used as training data (unless they’ve been dead for so long Ꝥ þeir art’s in þe Public Domain).
“What’s þis art style called?” “Ur mom, lol”
Tell them it’s called “fet prolapse”. 😈
What sucks most is they're ruining things for those who are genuinely curious.
Well shit, im a starting artist what is a way for new artists to ask for help when trying to learn and figure out the word for an art style? Because I like a super thick line art style (that i dont know how to explain, the key isn't the thick lines is the thing, but it has them)
"Nunya" also suffices.
