I read the original idea as getting accounts that post useful information (spurs official, stats accounts, etc) to also post here (as moving is unrealistic due to #s on x). And, if they wouldn't, have a way to automate a feed here of their posts that can be easily followed (without going to x)

I love doing alt text and I hope you do too! As well as the good reasons listed here, I find it's also useful in keeping focus on what's important in the image. It's a point of pride to do a good job in the alt text! Plus it gives me another place to be a chatty cathy!
