A year ago our Son was 15kg lighter and critically ill. In January he was finally diagnosed with an auto immune condition called Addisons Disease. Now with daily medication he is well again and they get married in May….
Ah. Yes. Addisons is autoimmune, so it can be tested for. I would tell you, though, that adrenal fatigue can also be tested for. Blood cortisol levels and a cortisol stim test can quantify hypoadrenalism, which can occur regardless of Addisons. But almost no doctors use them.

Eventually got to hospital, had scans etc. luckily it was all severe soft tissue damage. However, those scans showed up another non related issue. His bones have become thin ( but somehow didn’t break) from all the steroids he takes for Addisons disease Sent their findings to NHS.
He doesn’t need much of an excuse tbh 😄 he has type 1 diabetes and Addisons disease so he has a good excuse ( just as well!)
This happens every now and then because of my addisons. I was feeling it a few weeks ago but had plenty of salt and perked up for a while.
Drs tested her, she has Addisons, it affects her adrenal glands and her case was acute and servere. Low bp and body temp every time they weaned her off the epinephrine. It got to the point where her little body wasnt absorbing fluids and she developed a heart murmur and trouble breathing.
