Ah. Yes. Addisons is autoimmune, so it can be tested for. I would tell you, though, that adrenal fatigue can also be tested for. Blood cortisol levels and a cortisol stim test can quantify hypoadrenalism, which can occur regardless of Addisons. But almost no doctors use them.

So hypoadrenalism is the clinical syndrome while Addison's is one cause of it? Cortisol and ACTH test are how you assess for adrenal insuff, then autoimmune tests identify Addison's as cause. Ok. If it's underutilized, what do you think it should be used to work up? Any depression/fatigue?
