Sometimes I'm not sure why we live here. We moved to be closer to family and 3/4ths of the time, it's on us to travel. Despite the fact that each family is in town weekly, if not more often. We invite folks to go to things like airshows, Christmas tree farms, symphonies, etc & it's just crickets.

This is utterly disgusting. He simply has no shame. The CAA had red-flagged him at airshows a number of times pre-crash but were not allowed to divulge this to airshow organisations - the system urgently needs change. Air crash pilot applies to get flying licence back www.bbc.com/news/article...

The first “A” in NASA stands for aeronautics, and NASA’s Glenn Research Center helped bring that message to thousands of people at major airshows in Wisconsin and Ohio this summer.  In cerebral-overload.com/?p=117170

A bottomside look of the CT-133 "Red Knight" flown by the Jet Aircraft Museum in London, Ontario at Airshow London. The jet is painted to resemble The Red Knight aerobatic team, which performed at various airshows from 1958-1969.

Yep, you need to stand close up to realise just what enormous machines they are. Where I grew up, I was close to a major RAF base with annual airshows, long before health & safety. I got to see, hear, touch and feel a lot of these aircraft in the 70s. Lightning, full afterburner takeoff.. wow!!

If you see this, repost your favourite cold war aircraft: Avro Vulcan. Simply because it looks cool and I got to see some at airshows as a kid

I grew up in Farnborough and the Viggen was the loudest plane I’ve heard at any of the airshows.

Dad served on the V Bombers. My childhhod was basically punctuated by airshows. You never forget the roar of the Vulcan.

If you see this post/repost/whatever your favourite cold war aircraft! (I have other favourites but I love the viggen because it was still in service and turning up to airshows when I used to go to them, also, even today it looks so futuristic)
