Wow, a firearm provided for the civil rights era. That is a Kyle Rittenhouse weapon if I ever heard of one. I'm incredibly sorry for the loss of your father who was assuredly a thoughtful, conscientious human.

My parents got sick and like conscientious people who have a daughter disabled by the disease used a lot of care to decide when they went back out. And my mom’s sisters made fun of her for being “too dramatic”.

I was called a racist and genocide supporter yesterday for agreeing w/ someone’s post urging conscientious non-voters to reconsider and vote. So that was nice. Bsky getting some other site vibes lately as the US election approaches.

Lots of people, including many On Here, who are super conscientious about public health and strictly obeying science when it comes to communicable diseases scoff at the CDC definition of heavy drinking. A couple beers after work on the regular and a few extra at a party on the weekend counts.

Heavy drinking is defined as consuming:

Eight or more drinks per week for women

15 or more drinks per week for men

More lunacy. Conscription coming up. Conscientious objectors will have to be tagged as there is no room in prisons.

i think the onlookers argument is thinly justified. this is somewhat condescending, so i apologize, but i believe it: most of the politically aware conscientious voting objectors on here are *probably voting with you.* let them vent in peace. our indulgence of Israel is legitimately horrific.

2. The men would be disgusting and treat me like a piece of meat. Nope! I'd say 95% of the fellas I interact with are sweet, respectful, and conscientious of how they present themselves. The other 5% are gooners and still somewhat respectful regardless. (4/12)

If you knew a third-party voter pre-2016, they probably talked about it as a "quiet conscientious objection." They wanted to vote, but had personal reasons why they couldn't vote R or D, and understood that was unusual, and just quietly did it. No demands of your validation that its righteous act.

It really sucks that shitty people get rewarded for being shitty and those of us who are good, conscientious scientists unwilling to participate in this nonsense end up leaving.
