Would that bastard happen to be the bane of Cowdenbeath and/or the scourge of Auchtermuchty?

If I'm struggling to remember the order in which the cattle industry works, l find it helps to remember a Scottish town (and burgh) name: Cowdenbeath.

I’ve never understood why Cowdenbeath got the name, is there a reason you know of?

Lot of talk about Blue Brazil on here which I assume means we’re all Cowdenbeath fans now.

Although, this does mean that Scottish kids in the early 80s missed the chance to play a Missile Command arcade machine that had you defending Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline, and Alloa.
