* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of central Virginia, including the following
county, Buckingham.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 229 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cole Creek, Cooper Creek, Appomattox River, David Creek,
Cemetery Creek, Beasley Creek, Bear Garden Creek, Alabama
Creek, Brick Kiln Branch, Brickyard Branch, Bishop Creek and
Crooked Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

House flooded partially with the awful flooding WNC faced with the aftermath of Helena. So much damage, I ache for our mountain communities, whole places wiped out. Chimney Rock is gone. Wiped off the map basically. Ourselves and the cats got out okay. Backyard before and during the floods
