But in France, I think this demo had an even greater impact on people who were completely unfamiliar with Demoscene because it was broadcast at the end of a video game programme on a national channel, called "Micro Kid's"

Just looked it up and it might very well be, especially being a LAN thing. I’m guessing there isn’t as much of the demoscene-related stuff there (if there is, very worth checking out), but the spirit seems to be the same!
