EMDR only works temporarily for me and after some time the effects wear off and more and more traumatic memories resurface. It's a bottomless pit. My brain has become "wired" to the trauma and it's beyond fixing by EMDR.

"Why don't you go to therapy???" Therapy is a scam. No one who was supposed to help me understand me and every therapist thinks EMDR will solve all my issues. They put way too much faith in EMDR but no amount of EMDR will undo the long term childhood trauma I had to endure.

Drove up to (outside) Boston today to visit friends and we got stuck into some terrible Lynchian traffic time warp on the Merritt parkway and it somehow took ten hours to get here. I think we listened to Baby Beluga 50 times. I'm gonna need EMDR to process with this.

If you've ever wanted to know what it feels like on an existential level to be a damp and tattered towel shoved into the corner of a slightly dodgy bathroom you should try EMDR therapy.

I have CPTSD. It can get ugly. EMDR therapy has been a miracle thus far, as well as regular talk therapy. I have a medical cannabis card for PTSD, to. Ganja has been a godsend bc it stops flashbacks in their tracks. 13 steps to managing flashbacks is stuck 2 my fridge pete-walker.com/pdf/13StepsM...

cPTSD here EMDR with a very experienced practitioner, combined with Internal Family Systems therapy. the deep somatic stuff in a safe environment (hence ‘very experienced practitioner’) is absolutely life changing. if you’re a reader, then
