Last week, something very odd was seen at Euston station -- a GWR train at a station that GWR never calls at, and it was there because of HS2.
Yes, but that's (very) historic & bound up with how the Met was created. A more recent example is #Crossrail#ElizabethLine with higher frequency inside (roughly) the London boundary. I'm not saying it's at all likely, but it *could* become an issue at some point without oversight.
