If Galadriel's character was actually Celebrian, her daughter, it could be much more interesting, including the romance with Elrond. But everything is fine.
S2 was better in this regard I think, but the interpersonal dynamics with Galadriel/Gil-Galad/Elrond are still so frustrating. Pretty sure Galadriel is already among the oldest living beings in Middle Earth at this point barring maybe Cirdan?
