When the Calgary Flames hired Jay Feaster as GM he loved the phrase "hockey IQ" and the fans ate it up. I tried to point out that it's a pretty vacuous phrase but also the concept itself relies on the person doing the measuring having any idea what they are looking for and quite often they don't.

While I agree things do need to be discussed and pointed out (in the right ways and places) to not let this kind of thing feaster in a fandom, furries are far from clear of it though more proactive in some cases. Sadly these elements will always try to take root.
