Both my Logitech and Nulea mice have zero lag. The Nulea are "use and recharge simultaneously", which is good, but the trackball fidelity is a smidge poor (it's fine ofr my WFH office job and intrewebs cruising). So I have my Logitech wireless for gaming which use annoying replaceable batteries.

This is true. The good thing is the ones I use, while the not the greatest fidelity for thumb control, are fine for most tasks and the battery is a beast. Recharge 'em in about once every two months and they're used off and on for about 16 hours a day. And I can use them while they're recharging.
