Prioritizing Fire Prevention Over Firefighting: Under the current NDP government, British Columbia has spent nine times as much on firefighting as it has on fire prevention. The Conservative Party’s plan will shift the focus to prevention, investing in forest management and new technologies to reduce wildfire risks before they start.

Uh I’ve actually known a couple dudes who did this while they were serving time and they said it’s considered a great gig. You get out of the walls and out doing shit in nature. The real bullshit is that they can’t get a job firefighting afterward because of the felony convictions.
