EU talks deportation hubs to stem migration. Far-right gains in several European countries have helped put migration issues atop the agenda as home affairs ministers from the bloc's 27 states meet in Luxembourg https://u.afp.com/5DPb

A fenced area with green metal gates and mesh panels, creating a sense of confinement. Inside the enclosure, silhouettes of several individuals can be seen, suggesting they are standing or walking. The background is partially visible, featuring blue flooring and a bright, open space beyond the fencing. The overall tone of the image conveys a somber and restrictive environment, highlighting themes of migration and enforcement. The photo appears to emphasize current discussions surrounding deportation and immigration policies in Europe, particularly in light of recent political shifts. Yeah, they should have reproduced the original carpet! At least the pattern they picked for some walkways is reminiscent of it. The natural light makes up for it, too.

A modern airport terminal with an intricate wooden ceiling design featuring curved and latticed patterns. The space is well-lit with natural light from skylights and artificial lighting. Indoor trees and a Stumptown Coffee kiosk are visible. Passengers can be seen walking through the spacious area with reflective flooring.
A wide view of an airport terminal interior showcasing a dramatic wooden ceiling with a central skylight. The space features a Powell's Books store, visible signage, and various retail areas. Travelers are walking through the open area with polished stone flooring. The design incorporates natural elements with indoor trees scattered throughout.

Gotta see this cover with Jon & Damian, someday. :')

Cover of Action Comics issue #392, featuring Batman presenting Superman with the excellence of Batman Junior's diving technique as he remarks, "Look, SUPERMAN! My son is a diving whiz! He could compete in the OLYMPICS!" Superman looks on at his own son, Superman Junior, in dismay as he replies, "But MY boy always winds up with a belly-flop, BATMAN… and I do mean FLOP!" At the bottom-right corner of the cover, written in bold letters along the flooring that surrounds the pool, "The SHAME of the SUPER-SON!" Batman Junior can be seen diving perfectly off a springboard, while Superman Junior has his arms and legs spread as he goes belly-first into the pool with an ungraceful splash.

I'm very unwell And crying And having a panic attack I missed a 📲 from the bldg I've been on the waitlist for, my 📱 doesn't show when it came, just vm I have 72 hours I'm so unwell. How can I move? Also ALL units are "♿ access," but that DOESN'T = accessible. As evidenced by these photos!

Photo of an "accessible" bathroom. There's no safety bars except inside the tub, and the sink is not accessible because there's enclosed cabinetry beneath it. A wheelchair user couldn't pull up to it or reach it. The wall opposite the sink is positioned in a way that would make pulling a chair in the face the sink impossible. You might be able to pull alongside it sideways, but then you can't wash or anything.
Photo of accessible kitchen. The space where the stove would be is empty in this photo, but a fridge and lots of cabinets sit against the walls in an L shape. The room has fake wood flooring and white walls. Again, there is no way to pull up to the sink, nor any open space beneath it. There is a window above it in the bare, white wall. It's like they think getting a wheelchair IN a room is "access." No consideration for the Disabled person needing to USE the fixtures.

Now the house is getting better and more liveable I feel okay sharing this pic of one of the weirder horrible bits of fucking awfulness. This is in what was a kid’s bedroom and this stain is “miscellaneous”

An indeterminate stain on the wall about 2 feet up, could be piss, could be puke, could just be a spilled drink. It’s been allowed to soak into the fibreboard flooring. There is a 🙂 sticker upside down on the wall next to it

Definitely jumping back to plumbing or electrical after this. I hate updating flooring.

Earlier I loaded up our elevator with my flooring packs and broke it. I didn’t think 12 packs of vinyl would reach the weight capacity for an elevator.

One time when I was a kid, my mom had some family helping to redo the floor. When they saw me just playing they told me to help them take some panels to the bedroom, so I just opened the bedroom window and slid in the flooring. They asked, "why didn't you saying earlier?" I didn't have to do it.

I’m not sure what that is. I had a Spontex spinning mop & bucket that I couldn’t get on with & gave away on Freecycle. Both daughters swear by their steam mops but they are not recommended for my flooring (Karndean)
