makes me think of a world where the darkest day BS was removed from sw/sh and it just focussed on the kids in the gym league as character arcs/motivations to flesh out the hau/gladion/lillie knockoffs that are hop/bede/marnie. they can keep the archetypes the same but make them serious competition

So I drew Gladion for GladionDay on Twitter! I've had some hangups going back into SuMo for the past few years, but I can't stay away from literally the best rival character in all of the Pokemon canon (opinion)
