Most aren’t natural greenthumbs, but Toast is working on her greenpaw skills.

If you have a yard, you’re halfway there already. Books are as good as videos. There’s a few genuinely fun ones, like Mrs. Greenthumbs (you can source a used copy pretty easily) that have a lot of knowledge but are enjoyable reads. And local garden societies often have in-person meetings!

Hey #plantsky, greenthumbs, and garden-folk? I’ve inherited a number of fantastic hoyas and philodendrons(?). Advice on how to ID them more specifically? My usual app isn’t up to the task 🌱

A green, vining plant (Hoya?) with heart shaped leaves, dark on margins & central vein, and otherwise silvery green.
A tiny cutting of a green vining plant with marvelously intricate dark and light green veining
A very very large plant (philodendron?) with heart shaped leaves maybe a foot long. Pale green and cold en in color.
An incredible vining plant with thick stems and deep green leaves that are brilliant maroon on the undersides
