I have given 2 presentations to other teachers in the last 2 weeks, and 3 years ago I would never have thought that people would want to hear from me. Itโ€™s nice to know Iโ€™m doing stuff people are interested in (even if it seems really obvious to me!) #historyteacher#etymology

Can change and continuity enquiries become similarity and difference ones by mistake? Or can they be both do you think? I feel I've made one which is both but I'm not sure if that works or if they are siblings of sort in the disciplinary sphere. ๐Ÿค” #historyteacher

Iโ€™m doing a presentation for curriculum leaders tomorrow about explicitly teaching tier 2 vocab. #historyteacher, hit me with your most common tier 2 errors (or words you wish your students knew better) Monastery and policy are big ones for us at the moment.

Enjoying this one (I think it helps that this summer I read a lot of books about Elizabethan trade, but especially Stephen Alfordโ€™s Londonโ€™s Triumph - this reads like a spin off about a minor character. #historyteacher#currentlyreading Now I just have to get lessons from it, nbd.

Was teaching Y8 about Henry VIII and Katharine of Aragon, papal dispensations and degrees of affinity etc, so *of course* that got us onto the Habsburg family tree and they all freaked out. Soooo many questions about cousin or uncle-niece marriage. #historyteacher#ConnectedWorlds
