They tried anti-IL13 for human pulmonary fibrosis, it had no effect. Might have been compensated for by IL4 or other mechanisms. We only found IL10/TGFbeta in our (sadly long gone) mouse model.

Yeah, that's exactly why I dove in there based on your comment. I hypothesize that the roles of IL4/IL13 vs IL10/TGFbeta don't overlap as much as we were taught in the past, so always looking for more evidence....

@rahaeli.bsky.social My spouse has eczema & is going to go on Dupixent; he's telling me stuff about how it "is a replacement for interlukin 4 and binds to IL13 receptor" & down-regulates immune system response & key ones he thinks are mast cells, reducing their desire to trigger. Is this new data?
