The Great Conservatory at Syon House looked particularly splendid in some recent sun. Erected in the 1830s, with a dramatic parabolic dome above a cast iron frame, it’s listed at Grade I, and is the ‘first metallic horticultural structure of any importance’. #IronworkThursday

The village in question is called En'Un Machi, Smoky Haze Township- a 150-year old (so very young by Rokugani standards) ironwork and trade town built on the canal that connects the Lake of Cherry Blossom Snow and the River of Gold (the Emperor allotted some of the unclaimed land south of the Hare.)

Couldn’t visit St Saviour’s Dartmouth without another look at my favourite door! The ironwork says 1631, but it’s thought that’s just when it was repaired . The wood has been carbon dated to 1361. #AdoorableThursday#ironworkthursday#medieval
