There's so much going on in this report about the Gaza pier, but this part is particularly interesting. The UN's World Food Program wanted the pier to at least be built in the north where the people were starving the most. The IDF and USAID overruled that plan.

Scheinbar ist der Bedarf an Hilfsgütern in Gaza für die UN mehr als gedeckt. Am Grenzübergang Kerem Shalom in Südgaza warten inzwischen 1.100 LKW-Ladungen auf Abholung, weitere 9.000 Paletten am Hilfspier der USA.
