He points out that what is happening right now is not ‘Islamophobia’ it’s anti-Palestinian and anti Arab backlash. It is specifically directed at people marked as Palestians- like those that wear keffiyeh, for example-rather than those people marked as Islamic.

And it's been months since that conversation. I absolutely understand the situation she's in because literally I'm probably the most visible pro-Palestinian member (wearing a keffiyeh to shul regularly) and my dad is a highly established, influential, literally pro-genocide member
