I know social media gets a bad press, but I'm elderly, spend a lot of time on my own (which I quite like) and it's great to know that at any time I can find a kindred spirit to chat to. It's why I like Bluesky so much. So, thank you to you all (except the fake god-fearing men) for being here!

ok ok I did the halloween name thing. But you should know that my very own published once sent me a royalty check made out to "Kendra Leopard" once. Another time I was listed in a program as "Kindred Leonard." But if I went with Kindred Leopard it wouldn't be all that scary.

Currently reading 'Kindred: Neanderthal life, love, death and art', which is excellent. Notes that Neanderthals had larger eye sockets then any homo sapiens, and bigger eyes "potentially means more photo-absorbing retina and greater light sensitivity". One way to beat the dark autumn nights.
