Oh! Lingodeer I'll have to try that out. Finally dropped duolingo
Finished the entire first Japanese course on LingoDeer! It's only a start but, anything beyond 'konnichiwa arigato sumimasen' seems well above average for a tourist.
lingodeer maior e melhor sim!
Lingodeer Teaches you Japanese (and other languages) through grammar so you learn how to form the building blocks of the language to make your own sentences instead of just memorizing set phrases. Subscription based. www.lingodeer.com
Learn languages smarter, not harder! Rated 4.9/5, LingoDeer teaches languages most effectively through fun lessons created by real teachers!
So true. I've tried a few for Korean and I found Lingodeer the most helpful because it actually teaches you how language works instead of just memorizing sounds 😍
eu usei o lingodeer por um tempinho pra japones e achei ele legalzinho! tem outros idiomas tbm so nao sei ate em que parte ele eh gratuito mas se tu for testar e curtir ainda tenho a versao ecologica 🌱 no zapzap
In related news I've spent the past few hours looking at free Duolingo alternatives. So far I have Lingodeer, Memrise, Busuu, and Beelinguapp.
I'm using lingodeer to refresh my (very basic bordering on zero knowledge) korean and it's really good so far. better than the green owl ever was
Jus tried out LingoDeer. I really liked it. But I'm going to need some emotional support if I'm going to really quit DuoLingo and let ly 638 day streak come to an end.
No built in translation in this app yet so I’m learning some Portuguese so I can read the Brazilians posts about art and cats
This is a great thread for folks learning Japanese and trying to wean themselves off of their DuoLingo addiction. Anyone have advice on what to switch to for French? Is LingoDeer worth it? (I hope so, because I love that it's basically a direct insult to the Lingo Owl...lol)
