Seriously though, as the saga drags on the real shocking revelation isn't that Musk is a bad dude, it's that a lot of "society" that people take for granted is being held together with chewing gum and string. It's that nobody cares that he's an abusive fraud because we need his lies so badly.

It’s mind boggling how most politicians seem to be more afraid of how climate action ”affects the economy” rather than the impacts even at this level and rate of heating.

But are there really "rules"? I think much of current economic norms are just ideology and whitewashing history. Isn't our modern capitalist system just an out-growth of European conquest and genocide? GDP is obviously an easy target but I think we need to confront the deeper pathologies at play.
