Oh most definitely. I'm fortunate as I know I wasn't close enough to ever feel that his decision was due to me. But what shocked me was how devastated I felt by his loss. He wasn't family, he wasn't even someone I saw often, but his death affected me more profoundly than the death of my own father.
There have been an uptick of commander firings for "loss of confidence" over the last couple years. I'm not sure what's going on, but I hope it's a good sign...
AI should be used to replace exec level working positions. This way companies save profits by not paying such inflated salaries, and are able to keep more people employed in the lower levels, resulting in a net gain instead of catastrophic loss for society overall.
