Someone is playing country music live on their porch in Manayunk, and I have never hated living in the city more than right now. This is awful, and I am resisting the urge to turn on NIN or RATM on my stereo to max volume and open the windows.

RoxYunk PorchFest is underway and honestly a blast. #Manayunk#Roxborough#Philly#Philadelphia

The image captures a vibrant street scene under a clear blue sky. Dominating the foreground is a black car, parked neatly by the side of the road. Its sleek form contrasts with the red car on its right, which sports a white roof and a silver spoiler, adding a touch of sportiness to the scene.

In the background, three more cars are visible. Two of them are as black as night, while one stands out in a striking shade of orange. They are parked in front of a brick building, which boasts a porch adorned with columns, lending an air of elegance to the otherwise ordinary structure.

The street itself is lined with trees, their lush green leaves forming a natural canopy overhead. Their presence adds a touch of nature to this urban setting. The precise location of these elements creates a harmonious balance in the image, making it not just a simple snapshot of cars on a street, but a scene that tells a story of everyday life and city living.

The opening scene of Stella trekking up that steep ass Manayunk Hill is still stuck in my brain.

Philly area had a couple. We had Creature Double Feature on channel 48 & that was Dr. Shock then the Son of Svengoolie. What I remember more is Saturday Night Dead when I was a teen with Stella from Manayunk. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturda...

People in my neighborhood have been struggling to get a burnt-out car 311'd for months, so someone decided to just give up and incorporate it into the scenery. #philadelphia#philly#nwphilly#manayunk#roxborough

The charred remains of a burnt out car. A sign is affixed to it, which reads:

Urban Relic: Audi on Leverington

Artist Unknown

Metal, Plastic, Fabric, and Ash

Leverington & Main Street, Philadelphia

September 2024

Once a symbol of mobility and status, this Audi now rests in etemal park, its final destination determined by an expired sticker, a ripped bumper, and the conspicuous absence of a license plate. On September 10th, the vehicle embraced a new artistic medium - flame - offering a fast-forwarded glimpse of urban decay. As days pass, the installation evolves: doors ajar, hood up, perhaps a new trinket added by a passerby. A poignant reminder that life around it moves on, while this relic rusts, stalls, and absorbs the passing glances of the curious.

Please do not contribute additional fire.
