For cricket- it's Middlesex. I once played rugby for Middlesex, and it was my 'home county' - even though it technically didn't exist.

In 1986 Graham & I went out with student nurses called Sarah, who lived in a nurses home, John Astor House, nr Oxford Street, where they trained at Middlesex Hospital. Reader, we married them & today went back. The home now = flats & the hospital long gone save for its chapel, & plenty of memories.
