I get the neurosis. Florida calls first. It means nothing really, we won without it last time

I don't think it's fair to call it "neurosis." A 45 percent chance of Trump winning is really terrible. If I told you that you had a 45 percent chance of dysentary, you wouldn't be neurotic for worrying about it.

It's mostly just standard issue progressive neurosis, mixed with mild grief over the end of the exciting, troop-rallying phase of the race. She's taking a more conciliatory approach to locking down the last two or three percent of gettable votes. www.offmessage.net/p/kamala-cre...

The DC comics I grew up with in the 1960s: Superman, Lois Lane, Action, Adventure, etc. I didn't like Marvel comics. They had psychology and neurosis. DC comic books are intensely shallow.

My problem with Isis is that, whenever I listen to them, I'm reminded of how I'd much rather be listening to Neurosis. I find the chaff on 1000 Hurts more annoying than I did back in the day, but the guitar sound and the memories of seeing Watch Song live are enough to secure my vote.

A friend asked me to swap our Top 20 Songs of All-Time yesterday. This is clearly impossible, but I agreed on 20 that I consider UNDENIABLE, and wrote a stream of consciousness list. I reckon the top 6 would make a more-measured list too, but hey.

1. Neurosis - Purify
2. Isaac Hayes - Walk On By
3. Elvis Costello - Shipbuilding
4. Scott Walker - Farmer in the City
5. Leo Ferre - Thank You Satan
6. Black Sabbath - Hand of Doom
7. Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad
8. Carol and Snowy Red - Breakdown
9. The Abyssinnians - Declaration of Rights
10. Can - Paperhouse
11. Richard Dawson - Jogging
12. Björk - Cocoon
13. Black Box Recorder - It's Only the End of the World
14. The Crystals - He Hit Me (and it Felt Like a Kiss)
15. Fennesz - Endless Summer
16. Shellac - The End of Radio
17. Prefab Sprout - The King of Rock and Roll
