Re: last post- I’m just...sad about this one. Lily helped link me up with my first Paizo gig. She stayed at my apartment for a con one year when her hotel arrangements fell through. We haven’t been in touch in years, but the thought of her spewing transphobic garbage still hurts.

When you're uprooted and drifting through an unfamiliar landscape, so too do your dreams drift through darkness... Hopefully they find safe harbor. Episode 6 of Drift Delvers is out now - let us know what you think! #starfinder#actualplay#podcast#ttrpg#paizo#STF#scifi#sciencefantasy

If memory serves they took on a bunch of Paizo editing staff. I think that has led to them moving away from natural language rules.

That's the *whole reason* it was flagged for a drastic rework, because it was overwhelmingly considered underbaked and poorly designed. Even if you don't like the new oracle, don't act like Paizo screwed the pooch about something people were actually positive about.

So Paizo addresses those exact complaints...and not only are people unhappy with it, but all of a sudden they actually *liked* the old oracle. They want the old curses back, the class has been 'stripped of uniqueness' despite that same complaint being levied previously...

So or course, when Paizo decides the class needs a redesign, what do they do? They revamp curses to be more simple to track and understand, and tie them to a unique mechanic that no longer gives simple passive boosts and involves actual action economy interaction.

...and of course the usual crowd who strawman any modicum of defending design they don't like or even trying to say 'I see value in this even if it needs a buff' is akin to simping for Paizo, or that people can't admit anything wrong about the game.
